a message from Clarice Powell, interim treasurer

Dear AAA Members:

April 1st is coming up which begins AAA’s fiscal year.  This year we have been involved in several exciting events such as the Shore Thang show at Bowery Art Gallery, Seafood Festival, Art Walk, the Elsa Newell concerts and Chamber of Commerce events.  Still to come are the Boat Show and, the event of the year, the Annual Members ‘Show at the Historic Apalachicola Museum of Art which opens with a reception on April 1st.  For the first year this is an impressive showing.  AAA is becoming known as a viable organization in a town which is on its way to becoming an artist’s destination.  We want you all to become active partners supporting each other in our creative endeavors. Together we are strong.

Those of you who have chosen to become part of growing our association congratulations to you and we look forward to your future involvement. In order to continue to grow our group, provide support to all of our artists in the area and to provide opportunities for area artists to perform and show their work, we need your dues. This is a call for all of you to send in your dues promptly for the fiscal year April 1 2015 to March 31, 2016.  We are operating on a shoestring so every dollar counts. Your dues are used to pay for publicity, event space rental and supplies to put on our shows. We are in the process of putting together the Annual Members’ Show and we need the money to move forward to put on a wonderful exhibit in a most excellent venue. We will be shortly sending out a call for art, but participation in the Annual Members’ Show at the Museum is contingent on payment of your dues.
